Do you want to offer your customers the option to have their order shipped or pick it up for free at your Farmer's Market stand or another venue? This guide walks you step-by-step through creating a coupon that removes shipping fees and clearly indicates a Farmers Market pick-up order.
Why Use a Coupon for Farmers Market Pick-up?
At the moment, the system allows a limited number of shipping profiles. Using a coupon is the most effective way to:
Remove shipping fees for pick-up orders
Clearly signal to producers that the order is for Farmers Market Pick-up
Give customers flexibility to choose shipping or pick-up at checkout
Step-by-Step: Creating the Coupon
Navigate to Admin Dashboard → Promotion Management → click Coupon.
This setup is recommended when only limited shipping profiles are available.
Step 1: Coupon Type
Click the Coupon Type dropdown and select:
Free Delivery
This ensures that the delivery or shipping fee is removed when the coupon is applied.
Step 2: Coupon Title
In the Coupon Title field, enter a clear name such as:
- Farmers Market Pick-up
- Market Pick-up (Free Delivery)
Step 3: Coupon Code
Enter a short, simple coupon code in the Coupon Code field.
Recommended examples:
- MARKETPICKUP
- FARMERPICKUP
- PICKUPFREE
Avoid special characters or confusing letters.
Step 4: Customer
Use the Customer dropdown to select who can use the coupon:
- All customers, or
- Specific customers if this coupon should only apply to certain producers or groups.
Step 5: Limit
In the Limit field, enter how many times a customer can use this coupon.
Recommended value:
1
This prevents repeated use of the pickup coupon.
Step 6: Minimum Purchase
If you require a minimum order value for pickup orders, enter the amount here.
If no minimum is required, leave this field blank.
Step 7: Start Date
Select a Start Date for when the coupon should become active.
Example:
Use the first day of your Farmers Market or event.
Step 8: Expire Date
Select an Expire Date for the coupon.
This prevents customers from using the coupon after the market or season ends.
Step 9: Save the Coupon
Click Submit to save and activate the coupon.
